04 · Colaba buying guide
Choosing a living room fan for Colaba homes
Colaba has many heritage buildings with tall ceilings and large rooms, alongside smaller modern flats. Taller ceilings suit a downrod and a larger sweep, while newer flats usually need a closer mount. The Fanzart display at Atria Mall, Worli, shows the range.
For living rooms up to 250 sq ft, a 52" sweep is the usual choice; larger or open-plan spaces suit 56"–60" or two fans.
Fan rods can be customised for floor-to-ceiling heights from 8 ft to 25 ft, and Fanzart fans work with false ceilings. For low ceilings see hugger fans; for tall spaces see double-height ceiling fans.
