On identifying the fan collection based on the interiors, next would be to choose the appropriate fan size. As Ceiling fans are not one-size-fits-all fixtures, Fanzart offers a myriad of choices with different blade sweeps, ranging in size from 15 inches to 93 inches. Selecting the right fan will depend on the size (square footage) and height of your room.

Here’s a size chart that will ensure that your space gets an extraordinary breeze.

Recommended Downrod:

The fan base should be at a minimum height of 8 feet in order to provide you with sufficient breeze. Based on room height, the downrod lengths can be calculated. A non-standard downrod is used when the ceiling height is greater than 10 feet. See our downrod sizing guide to determine which length you will require for your ceiling height.

BY PERFORMANCE

The motor is the heart of any ceiling fan, and it determines the airflow and efficiency of your ceiling fan.

Ceiling Fans with BLDC Motors:

BLDC (Brushless DC) fan motors are more compact and lighter than standard AC motors, which allows them to generate greater torque and consume 70 percent less power. Fanzart fans range of BLDC motors consume around 20 - 35 watts of power whereas the AC motor fans consume around 60 - 75 watts as compared to normal conventional fans that consume about 80 - 95 watts of power.

Airflow Parameters:

One of the most common misconceptions - when it comes to ceiling fans - is that the higher RPM of a fan, the better Airflow or breeze that the fan delivers. While RPM is an important parameter, it is 1 of 4 factors that determine the quality and quantity of the Air delivery and eventual efficiency and performance of a Fan. CFM stands for cubic feet per minute (referred to as Airflow). Put simply, Airflow quantifies the amount of air a ceiling fan delivers as well as it’s velocity. The parameters that determine the CFM are:

Blade Size: This is the length of the blade, usually calculated as the diameter or sweep of the fan. The longer this is, the better the breeze. While Fanzart comes in sweeps starting 15 inches and going up to 93 inches, the standard sweep is 52 inches, which is 4 inches higher than a conventional comparative.

Effective Blade Pitch: This is the angle of the blade from an imaginary horizontal plane parallel to the ground. The blade angles downward from this place, and the higher the angle, the more air it pushes/displaces. Fanzart Fans have a higher blade angle

Blade Width: The blade width varies with design, however most Fanzart fan blades are wider than their conventional competitors, which gives a clear advantage for displacing and delivering a higher Air volume

RPM: Rotations per minute

Higher the CFM it is considered to be more effective and efficient. Usually, a CFM of 4000-5000 is considered to be good, 6000 is better and 7000+ is best!

At Fanzart, the CFM starts from 6875 and goes all the way up to 14,125 – in the residential segment (so, not counting the commercial HVLS fans).

By Location:

Purchasing a ceiling fan for your verandah is not the same as purchasing one for your living room. That’s because each location has its unique style and is exposed to unique weather elements which can affect the performance and life of a fan. It’s important that you choose the ceiling fan based on which location it is best suited for.

Fans for Larger spaces:

Conventional fans are usually around 48 inches and most designer fans hang around the 52-inch sweep. At Fanzart, For larger spaces like large Living rooms, villas/bungalows, places with double-height ceilings we have a WIDE RANGE of choices of larger fans to address these areas.
